Operational signal design for cross-functional teams
Turned scattered status reporting into a shared map of priorities, risks, and decision points so teams could move faster without more meetings.
This is the kind of work I return to often: not a single dashboard, and not a single process document, but a better shape for the work itself. The goal is to make the path legible enough that a team can orient without constant mediation.
In practice that usually means defining a small number of signals that matter, agreeing on the moments when judgment is required, and making the operating narrative easy to revisit later. I care less about introducing heavy process than about creating artifacts that reduce confusion and survive handoffs.
The result is usually a team that spends less energy explaining where things stand and more energy deciding what to do next.
